Dr Yvette Bruce
Independent Consultant General Practitioner
BSc (Nursing), MBBS (Hons), FRACGP
Dr Yvette Bruce is a caring and thorough general practitioner who provides complex-care medicine for patients with multiple or chronic conditions. She takes a whole-person approach, addressing physical health, emotional wellbeing, and life circumstances to support long-term stability and quality of life.
Her consultations are unhurried (usually 30–60 minutes) so there is time to listen carefully, coordinate care, and plan treatment safely. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates no longer cover the full cost of longer consultations or the level of care required for complex patients. A private fee is needed to sustain the time, quality, and thoroughness of her work.
Dr Bruce’s areas of interest include chronic-disease management, mental health, women’s health, and preventive care. She has completed advanced training in Focused Psychological Strategies through the University of Sydney and has broad experience in adult medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, and mental health.
She also provides ADHD assessments for adults, working in partnership with psychiatrists for formal diagnosis and ongoing treatment in line with current prescribing requirements.
